Philips Medical Systems started the implementation of a worldwide SAP solution in 1995. All support and administration activities are coordinated from The Netherlands. After a merger with a large US based supplier of medical products, a new business line was integrated within the existing SAP system. As a result, the size and structure of the support organization have been dramatically altered.
The Vigour ICT consultants have shaped and supported the process of knowledge transfer in several locations in The Netherlands, Hong Kong and the United States of America. Where needed, local support and training were implemented. In addition, the consultants played a role in the restructuring of the global support and administration organization in The Netherlands. They were also involved in shaping the further optimization and stabilization of the implemented solution for Finance and Control by utilizing the Customer Service Module and Business Information Warehouse.
