Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings (DECO) has been working on a European rollout of SAP R/3 wince 1998. This project is coordinated from The Netherlands.
During this project, the Vigour ICT consultants provided technical support for the rollouts of the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium and France, partly from the central location in The Netherlands, and partly on site in the different countries.
The Business Communications Platform by Streamserve was chosen as the communication platform for all information and documentation within DECO. Streamserve Software automates, personalizes and integrates the communication from and to business applications and ERP systems. The consultants from Vigour ICT Consulting realized new documents, labels and an interface between SAP and Streamserve.
In order to automate the operations within several European warehouses, RF scanning in combination with SAP Console was chosen as the preferred method. In cooperation with the DECO consultants, a large custom framework was developed that satisfies all requirements.
